Really having to water the garden every day....but probably won’t have to mow the grass for a while, so I guess it all evens out.

Our hay meadow just now dried up where you can get on it without tromping thru water, hopefully the kid that cuts and bales it can work us in. I'm probably the only person around here that is hoping it don't rain because it sure has gotten dry the last week or so but I need that hay.

got up this morning and the wind was almost cold feeling, well cool feeling at least. heat returns next week they are saying.

Will this be your first or second hay cutting? Some folks around here are now cutting for the second time.

this will be the first and it will be a big one. all the rain we had this spring and early summer kept water standing till just the last week or so. I tried walking across it a few days ago and it was dry but to big and thick to walk in, had no idea what might be crawling around under all that grass so I got out of there. It's getting hard to find people to cut and bale, the guy doing ours says he has two more jobs ahead of us which shouldn't be to long except everyone that does this is always broke down at some point.

of course when he said 2 jobs I had to check the weather forecast, we got about 10 days of dry weather in the forecast then about the 12 to 16 day period rain predicted, some of it heavy in places. so got a little window here to hope for.

man it's hot here, no wind or anything to go with it. been in the low 100's to upper 90's for about a week and it looks like there will be another 7 to 10 days of it.

we got leaves falling off the trees like it is fall, guess because it's just so dry

The heat index here is awful. I hope it doesn't last long, can't enjoy being outside.

Today look at radar and they are having severe warnings and flash floods in the area. Kind of put damper on vacation.

believe it or not.… there are some forecasts now saying in about 10 to 12 days, just before Labor day high temps across Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri could be only in the upper 60's to low 70's.

let's see right now most of us are having temps 105 plus and heat index's close to 115, so if it happens looking at a drop of 30 to 40 degree's at least out.
