**Spring -Summer 2018**

couple days till spring officially starts and right on cue weather folks are talking severe weather.

decent chances on the spc site for storms tomorrow in Arkansas. then Sunday in Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas... the tv guys aren't in panic mode yet so must not be anything to bad.

we are in "near critical" fire conditions, red flag fire alerts, ect. high winds, low humidity an hight temps. this they are in panic mode... have your important papers, full tank of gas, dust masks, med's, cash be ready to evacuate type stuff on the news.

day 159 without at least .25 rainfall. got garden seed ready but ground is like a rock.

Wow. Our drought broke here about 3 weeks ago. Hope you get rain, without the severe weather.

I know this is way north of you but made me think of the pics from Follet Texas yesterday, little town in the very northeast corner of the Texas Panhandle, looked like the whole town was on fire.

***

still some predictions of severe weather around the plains tomorrow, how severe and where seems to be depending on how quick the morning clouds move out and how warm the afternoon temps get.

Monday... Monday seems to be the day there's a lot of chatter from the storm chasing guys, saying not a perfect setup but better than average for March, area's like Tenn, Miss, Al, possibly even up to the southeast corner of Mo.

Getting some rain now in the KC area and is supposed to rain most of the day and then on and off for the next few days. Don't mind the rain now that the temps are too high for snow. Noticed lots of plants peeking up out of the ground and buds on some of the trees. Love this time of the year.

Today is the spring equinox.
That's when the Earth tilts in a way that the Sun's most direct rays start to nudge into the Northern Hemisphere, eventually warming our season towards summer.
Spring officially begins at 11:15 AM central time!
I'm ready for Spring.

Make that two of us ready for spring.

Love to see the little green stems coming out of the ground and the buds on the trees. A sign of a beautiful spring ahead.

We've got the same thing ahead here in the KC area. About 5 days of rain. Don't mind the rain, once it is too warm for the snow. "SNOW" is my bad four-letter word.
