they say the end is in sight, another 7 to 10 days and the summer heat dome builds in and chokes off the storms, but in the meantime.....

another day another threat of severe storms and floods in my world. tornado threat has went up today, started out at very low, then low now it looks like it went up another notch, hail is supposed to be up to tennis ball size and some places could have 80 plus winds.

Did you put some metal pots on your head like we used to do as a kid? Not that that is going keep you from blowing away, but at least you would not have knots on your head. Dorthy would be proud.

a metal pot might have been good, but I did find out this ole guy can still run pretty good when need to.

and here we go again. this weekend is supposed to be the last major storm to come thru for awhile, after this turns hot with a few afternoon pop up storms, but this one sounds like a doozey so it's going out with a bang.

starts out in my area way out west late afternoon, weathermen are saying baseball or larger size hail, strong winds and a "few tornadoes". then it moves east where it becomes a wind event with 80 plus mph winds and a flooding event saw some estimates on tv last night of 5 plus inches. nobody really wants to go out on a limb and predict Sunday they all keep saying Sunday depends on Saturday it could be really bad or it might do nothing.

you know the older I get the wimpier I get about wanting the pool water to be warm, but still it's been way to cold to swim until this weekend finally warmed up enough to get in the pool.

when the temps outside warmed it really went all out, seemed like it was in the 70's one day and hitting the 100 mark the next.

Looks like some potential heavy rain coming up from the Gulf. Hope the lake levels are where they need to be.
