Military Child

I thought this was pretty interesting.....It was written by a 9 year old granddaughter of one of our neighbors. .....

I'm a Military Child:

I serve, too, I'm a military child. Since I am a military child, I have to be a diplomat for our country, I have to represent America in a positive way.

Being a military child affects me because my family and I live overseas in Germany. The Germans I meet will judge other Americans by how I act in public. Wherever I go I represent my country and my dad, who's a captain in the Air Force.

I like meeting new people and seeing new things, but being a military child isn't always fun. In Germany I can't see relatives. I miss my friends from our last base. It's challenging to learn new things in a new country. It's worth it, though, because I support my dad, who helps the military to run and the military protects our country.
