Well not really Nelly Fest, just one of the entertainers at Supercat Fest, and a perfect fit for Sewer of the Ozarks. Don't think It would fly in Branson. Not even the boat race part if It were held on Table Rock. Didn't they try that once too?

I dunno....
Seems to me a restaurant/bar/live band type setup should work on Tablerock somewhere. There's not anything like that now to my knowledge?
But people would be drinking and having fun. That would never fly in Branson.

Thinking the problem has much less to do with Branson, and everything to do with the Federal Government body known as the US Army Corps of Engineers.
Maybe NotJLB would know more a about it, but I thought there were some very restrictive rules, and high fees for on the water businesses. I remember they wouldn't sell me a Coke at the Big Cedar marina because I wasn't a guest when I pulled in from the lake. Something about they couldn't because they didn't pay the Corps a percentage of their sales for the "right" to sell to non guests on the lake. That was verified by the owner of the resort I was staying at also.

I am glad its up at lake of the Ozarks. They don't need anything like this on tablerock. Table Rock has always been a family friendly fishing lake. The water is clean and the building around the lake is limited. I thank the corps SO much for all the restrictions!!!

Family friendly...yep, just like the ol fishin hole on the Andy Griffith Show. We sure don't want anyone consuming adult beverages or having fun in any other form or fashion.

EVERYTHING is about economic prosperity to some people in Branson. I could care less if the lake brings tons of tourists and makes rich people more money. I am all about preserving what we have. I don't want there to be too much development. I am all for protecting the Ozarks landscape!!

Newsflash...the "Ozarks Landscape" is a thing of the past. This is 2013 not the late 1800's. It's about options. People don't have any of the options in Branson that are available at LOTO. If this kind of thing doesn't interest you, go watch Shepherd of The Hills or something.

Yep, and I would say MOST of us that live down here don't mind. If you need to party every day at the lake, by all means move somewhere that has great parties. I was born and raised here in Branson. I am very sentimental when it comes to this land. Maybe you don't care about the natural beauty of the area, but there are those of us out here that do!
