So what's happening with the Branson Airport? We've never flown in there because we don't live that far from Branson, but we've been out there and were impressed by the facility. Tonight we saw something about the airport being closed. Is that true? If so, what happened?

is not closed. Sun Country airlines will start flights in August.

"Branson, Mo.— Branson Airport (BKG) is excited to announce new passenger air service from Sun Country Airlines. Starting in August, the Minneapolis-based carrier will offer nonstop flights to/from Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport. Flights are available for purchase now at suncountry.com. “Since 2019, Sun Country has added nearly 40 new destinations from Minneapolis-St. Paul."

So Frontier Airlines is no longer flying in and out of Branson?

Correct, no Frontier. It seems only 1 airline flys out of Branson at any time thru the past years. And then the cities to fly to are very limited - like One. Of course you can connect to other cities then.
