Moon River

I have been to Branson several times, but we have not tried the Moon River yet. We are bringing my Dad in November, he is 84, would this be a nice place to eat? Food Good? I know he likes Andy Williams, so I heard it has photos, etc.. of him in there too?

Yes it's good food, a nice place to eat, and lots of pictures of Andy on the walls!

We ate there for the first time about a month ago. It's a very nice restaurant with good views and very good service. You don't have to dress up, but it's a place you could dress up if you wanted to.
My husband had steak, which he said was good. I had the macaroni & cheese with added grilled chicken - which was very yummy! It sounds like a kids dish, but if I go back I'll get it again. It came with a cheesy bread.
We really enjoyed the atmosphere and the food.

We try to eat there on each trip. Lot's of food choices and reasonable prices. There is a 10% cupon in the Best Read Guide.

Hope you both have a great time.

Thanks for the help. We are seeing Andy Williams Christmas show, may be a good place to eat too. I think he will like it, he likes photos, etc. and the reviews you gave all sound good. Will put it on our list!!! I really want to plan a nice trip for my Dad.

Two years ago my wife and I went to Andy's Christmas Show and then dined at Moon River afterward. It was a GREAT combination.

Be aware that if you want to eat BEFORE the show you should make sure you have reservations in advance. We went to the Grill about 90 minutes before showtime without a reservation and they said we likely could not be seated and finish dinner before the show started. Dining after the show was fine... no reservation necessary.

Try Andy's mother's meatloaf.

Often, after his show, Andy will go to the grille for a brew. He can be very cordial.

I did not even know they took reservations, thanks for that info! Really appreciate it. I guess if you were able to eat after the show, it stays open late.

I looked on the website, the autruim looks so nice and you can look out over the water. Can you request to sit in that area, when you make reservations?

Yes, you can request to sit in the atrium, and it is lovely. The pot roast is exceptionally good and LOTS of food. We have eaten it twice and will have it again the next trip. If you have the Branson Guest Card there is a 20% discount on your meal. The music is nice, too, as well as the pictures of Andy and there are a LOT of original Andy Worhol pictures. Highly recommend. We have seen Andy twice when we were there for lunch. They are not open on Sunday, however.

I looked on the photos, the Autrium is glassed in, correct? Its not a screen. We are coming in November and want to make sure it wouldn't be too cold.

The atrium is glassed in; it is very comfortable and the view is great! You can eat outside, and we have, but you would have to take into consideration the temperature.
