Kenny Roger's and Branson

I know Kenny played concerts at the Grand Palace. Did he ever have his own theater in town? Any other connections?

Wasn’t he originally involved with the Showboat? It seems he also had one of his chicken restaurants here.

I saw Kenny perform several times over the years. Both here and in Kansas City. Always the consummate performer. Never did aby thing other than an exceptional show!

There was a Kenny Rogers Roasters Restaurant (chicken) in Branson back in the early 90's. Seems I remember it was somewhere close to where Dunkin Donuts is now.

Back in the 90's he was listed as co owner with the Herschend family for the Palace, Branson Belle, and I think Grand Village. Don't know the extent of his ownership.

I am on with phone or would link an interesting article from Variety, Google Kenny Rogers Branson belle. Talks about the Belles christening.

In something I read today said he was involved with a showboat in Branson.
There weren’t specific details.

I remember him being in partnership with the Herschend family in building the Grand Palace, and Showboat Branson Belle.
Don't remember if it was on this forum long ago, or somewhere else. But when the Belle was being built, some people who are great at adding 2 and 5, and getting 9 were convinced that because of his song the Gambler, and because the belle was a boat, it was built with all the infrastructure for a casino. All they had to do was move in the machines!
