Checking Out State Park

Went out this AM to make sure the boat was still there and covered--Yes
The marina had some damage 2 nights ago so they are closed today. The park is a mess of fallen leaves, twigs and branches. They have a few roads and trails closed.
The island directly across from the Belle is under water now. The trees are still visible. The parking area below the dam is full of spillway lookers as per usual. Couple of fisher people fighting the current and generally losing. Guess the Corps forgot to put the One Way signs.
Back at the other lake, the water looked really nice--calm, clean, and clear. (3 C's) No sign yet of the debris that is surely on its way. The ugly bathtub ring is long gone.
Beautiful day, but a shame to think of what is likely on the way.
How can you proudly wave the flag of another country, and then consider it punishment to be sent back there?
