FREE Dr.Pepper Free Promise For Everyone

Dr Pepper is making good on its promise of free soda now that the release
of Guns N' Roses' "Chinese Democracy" is a reality.

The soft-drink maker said in March that it would give a free soda to everyone in America
if the album dropped in 2008. "Chinese Democracy," infamously delayed since recording
began in 1994, goes on sale Sunday.

"We never thought this day would come," Tony Jacobs, Dr Pepper's vice president
of marketing, said in a statement. "But now that it's here, all
we can say is: The Dr Pepper's on us."

Beginning Sunday at 12:01 a.m., coupons for a free 20-ounce soda
will be available for 24 hours on Dr Pepper's Web site.
They'll be honored until Feb. 28.

I can't get the dr. pepper site to open oh well *sighs*!!! guess i'll just go to sonic and get me a cherry dr. pepper and be happy. I have listend to the new guns cd, and I personally don't like it. I guess I am stuck on there older stuff. i've been to one of there concerts they used to put on a kick butt concert! and was so in love with the drummer Steven Adler he was sooo hawt!

I saw Steven on Celebrity Rehab, so disturbing and sad... I just listened to some of the new album. Definitely didn't get the Heavy Metal fix I expected but the song "This I Love" isn't bad. I expected great guitar solo's from them. Maybe the album will grow on me, that happens sometimes.

As of a few moments ago, the Dr Pepper site has been simplified with a text and very light graphics version to allow faster loading. They're also doing some things to help it all along, and will be extending the initial sign up period as the demand was greater than they had anticipated.

For what it's worth, I was up last night around 11:30 PM (12:30 AM EST) and was able to zip onto the site and sign up with no issues.

Note that you will have to provide a mailing address for Dr Pepper to mail you a physical coupon to be used to redeem the soda.

That guy is toast. I hope he gets straightened out but his music career is over. The sad truth is...He's probably no more messed up that a lot of other people in LA.
