Smile Branson's Best Motel vs. Mountain Music Inn Motel

I am looking for a fairly cheap, clean place to stay. We will be staying in Branson for 10 days in June. I will be traveling with my 2 kids (14 and 17) and possibly my mom (sr. citizen).

Does anyone know how Mountain Music Inn (the motel part) compares to Branson's Best? I don't need anything fancy but I do want a clean room. Any other suggestions?

I have stayed at MMInn several times (hotel section, never tried the motel section. But I've been told the motel section rooms are older and not as large as the hotel section). The room has always been great, very clean. I have never stayed at Branson's Best, but my parents stay there regularly and a couple other Branson fans I know are big fans of Branson's Best. If pools are an issue, MMInn has a nice, large indoor pool. They also have an outdoor pool but it looked pretty small to me. We always visited in April or November, so we never tried the outdoor pool for ourselves though. Branson's Best has an outdoor pool, but I'm not sure of its size. Hope that helps a little.

If it was me, I'd probably opt for Branson's Best over the MMInn's motel section.

I have stayed at Branson's Best, many times! And always found it to be clean, and pleasant.

However, I would like to suggest Peach Tree Inn! www.peachtreebranson.com
The rooms are clean, and there are chairs outside the room, if you like to sit outside.
Also, Peach Tree Inn has a mini-fridge, microwave, and coffee, in every room.
They also have a small laundry available to guests.
Since you are staying 10 days, those things might come in handy.

I would also suggest you request a room on the parking lot side of the motel.
If you stay on the other side, you may have a view of a brick wall.

We've stayed at Mountain Music Inn SEVERAL times over the years, and we always enjoy the rooms (plus there's a great indoor pool).

On this last trip, we only had our cabin reserved for three nights, so we needed a hotel on the fourth. We went to MM Inn. We got a really nice two-bed room in the hotel part for only $42 with an SDC Season Pass.

The continental breakfast is pretty good, too. Light, but good.

I've stayed at Branson's Best, and like it just fine. No negatives. Haven't stayed at MM INN, but it seems to get rave reviews here. Actually, both of these places have good reviews here by most everyone who's stayed at them. Maybe you could just flip a coin.

We stayed at Branson's Best about 4 years ago and we were happy with the motel. The rooms were nice and clean and an average size to me. Our kids did not go swimming but the pool looked ok to me.

I wanted to comment about Peach Tree we have reservations this summer in July and our rate was 49.95 per night. Our last visit to Branson was summer of 2003 and we stayed at Peach Tree the rooms were a nice size and were clean and the staff was very friendly.. The breakfast was ok, juice, bagels, toast, cereal donuts, juice milk we are not big breakfast eaters so this was fine for us. Plus I had brought the kids favorite cereal and just got milk from the breakfast.

But staying that many days they may give you a discount.

Have a great trip and dont forget to report back to us.

Branson's Best vs Mountain Music Inn

I have never stayed at Mountain Music Inn and therefore can't speak to that: I have however stayed at Branson's Best several times and will be staying there again later this month. What I like about Branson's Best is 1) rates under $50.00 if you book before they reach 80% occupancy, 2) very nice complimentary breakfast which includes Belgian Waffles, scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, fruit, cereal, juice & coffee, 3) nice clean rooms and comfortable bed (nothing fancy, but plenty clean and in good shape), 4) helpful staff, 5) two kinds of cobbler and hot coffee from 9:30 pm to 11:00 pm or so each evening for a nice snack after you get back from a show and 6) they sell vouchers for about a dozen shows at about 1/2 to 60% of the ticket office cost of the shows. Also, it is located on Green Mountain drive just off of Gretna so it is easy to get around. I can highly recommend it!

Just a question how were you able to get the ticket prices so cheap when I compared me booking our reservations for shows or going through them my prices were always cheaper than theirs. What did I overlook.

Thanks Shannon

I believe from your post that you stayed at Branson's Best about 4 years ago and maybe their prices weren't all that great back then. I don't know as I have only been staying there the past couple of years. But for the past couple of years they have sold their vouchers for around $15.00 plus tax and that is for tickets that would typically cost $23.00 to $26.00 at the box office of the shows. I just called Branson Best (800-404-5013) and the lady told me that this year they are charging $17.00 for the vouchers with the exception of Celebrate America and one other show that will cost $20.00 now.
Since most of box office prices of shows now are still around $25.00, that $17.00 looks pretty good if they have vouchers for the shows you want to see. Good luck!

You are correct it was about 4 years ago. I need to explain myself a little better, this year before I made my reservations I went the the web site and also spoke with someone about staying at the property and ticket prices was still higher than me booking my self. What do I need to ask for when calling and is it only certain shows you can get vouchers for. Do they make the seating arrangements how dothe vouchers work?

I know I am getting of the subject of the orginal text but I am interested in learning more about this. If needed you can send me a private message.

Thanks Shannon

Shannon, we stayed at Branson's Best this past summer and in Nov. We purchased vouchers from the front desk. They have a list of shows they sell vouchers to. I know we bought for The Hughes Bros. for 15.00 each and know they had the Haygoods too, but think I already had those. You pay the hotel and then we called from our room to reserve seats. Just told the box office people that we had purchased vouchers from our hotel. We always like aisle seats about 5 to 10 rows back, no problem if our choice is available. I think Branson's Best may also run a "package deal" where you get certain shows and lodging as part of a package. We don't do that. Just pay our hotel bill and when we get there buy the vouchers we want. Some of the "bigger" shows are not choices on their list. So if you call ahead you could ask what shows the front desk sells vouchers for.

I did not realize they offered the vouchers so (slbtrout52) Steve sent me a private message and explanined the program to me. I was not aware of this. I may check into it and see the price difference for the reservations I have made. Thank you for letting me know about this I do appreciate the information.

Thanks to you all, Have a great week, Shannon
