Kettle Korn

I’m looking for a recipe to make Kettle Korn at home. My family is craving it. We love homade popcorn.
Any suggestions.

It won't help you now but the Amish Country Store sells kettle corn seasoning. You put your popcorn and oil in the pot and then sprinkle the seasoning on and then pop the popcorn. It's not quite the same but it is pretty good.

No recipe for Kettle Korn (just carmel corn,) but the best kettle korn I've found is at the local farmers markets.

Oops! I have to correct my earlier post. That wasn't kettle corn seasoning; it was caramel corn seasoning.

I have a theatre style popcorn machine, and when we are in the mood for kettle corn,

I put in oil, get it hot, add popcorn, and just before the kernels starts popping I add straight sugar... but not a lot., too much wont pop correctly

For comparison...In my popper (it is a commercial popper), this is my "recipe". 1 cup oil, 3 cups popcorn, 1/2 cup sugar, makes about 4 ziploc bags of popcorn.

NO salt or other seasonings...

No its not kettle corn, but it is a very close taste and texture. does the job for us..

Been thinking about trying that. Just thought it would really gum up the kettle.
I have the smaller Gold Medal 6oz machine like seen in some banks, and shops giving free popcoen

the secret is Oil has to be HOT, turn on stirrer, add popcorn, let it run until a kernal or 2 pops, Then in your case I would guess 2 teaspoons of suger..

if not enough, next time do 1 tablespoon, practice is the key. LOL

Too much sugar, pulls down stirring action, and does leave residue on bottom that can be wiped out.

Right amount, no residue, no after taste for next regular batch.

give it try.
