Pro Football 2019 Thread

Personally I prefer the college brand of football over the pro version but tune in and watch a few games and since no one else has started a thread.

2 weeks in how do you feel about things. grew up cheering for the Cowboys, 2 and 0 but after the last few years have kind of a wait and see prove it to me that you can do it attitude.

The Chiefs seem to have picked up where they left off last season. Mahomes is still rolling his numbers upward. Defense looking better than last year, but still some work to be done. New guys on offense are just exciting to wat h! Gonna be another fun season!

Big NFL news today: Big Ben having surgery and out for the season. So Steelers gonna be struggling from this point on. And Drew Brees our for 6-8 weeks with surgery on a thumb injury. Last thing the Saints need right now.

Brady chugs along as well. Mahomes is looking very good, his throws look effortless, more like an accurate fling vs a long heave. Hope he states healthy because he is a force to be had in the NFL.

Was anxious to see how Mahomes' injury would change things. Seems like they took the first quarter a little cautious to see how he could do and then let him go starting with the second quarter. Personally I think that a Mahomes playing at a reduced rate is better than other quarterbacks playing at full rate.

Was the first football game I have seen where the tackle was made on the FIRST BASE LINE. Just leave it to the Raiders for those unusual plays.

Looking forward to game # 3. GO CHIEFS.

Glad no one got seriously hurt in those brutal dirt/grass conditions. I guess that cess pool got built it 1966 and will be retired soon. Mahomes may not
have hit a grand slam on that baseball field, but surely he got a few home runs for his efforts.

Hopefully Hill will be back soon to add more firepower for Mahomes' arm. That one arm pull in catch yesterday was fantastic by Robinson. Give us more please.

Chiefs vs Lions. That was a rough and tumble game and Chiefs are lucky to have come out on top. That last Mahomes drive was nice, but his crazy passing numbers came down to earth level. Wonder who put the grease on the football with all those fumbles?

Those boys have to learn to protect the ball bett was when they have it. Lions were knocking it out of their hands with ease! Patrick may not have thrown a TD, but he still passed for over 300 yards. The defense actually kept us in the game yesterday. And when it came right down to it, they found a way to win that one. Of course, a lot of Chiefs’ fans were on the verge of heart attacks and nervous breakdowns throughout that whole game.

And now there are 3 undefeated teams. Pats also just squeaked out a win. Same for New Orleans. Crazy football day yesterday!

Wasn't one of our greatest but we will take it. Sure were lots of reviews during the last few minutes. Place where I was watching the game with friends was really lively in those last few minutes. Lots of screaming, praying, cussing and walking around the tables.

Now for next week.

Dang a flash back of yester year with such a poor defense showing ......and how many penalties? The boys in red deserved to lose with such a sad performance against the Colts. Can't say the offense was much better.

Penalties killed us!!! You can’t lost 125+ Heard’s on penalties and expect to win a game! We had injuries going in to the game, and then lost several more to injuries DURING the game. Defense had some flaws going in to that game- not the least of which is a total lack of run defense. Then when your players keep going out of the game with injuries, it shows the extreme lack of depth on the defense. Couple that with a less than lackluster offensive performance - and a QB playing in a bum ankle that got banged around again - and you have a recipe for disaster! Add to all of that the fact that you KNOW former Chiefs’ defensive star Justin Houston has inside info on what our weaknesses are and there’s the nail in the coffin yesterday! Now, hoping they can look at yesterday’s game films and figure out how to fix this mess before Sunday and Houston!
