Fishermen, It's On!!!

Table Rock is starting to turn over. About a month early. Plus with 5 gates open 2 feet there is a feast of threadfin shad coming over the top. That means the trout in Taneycomo are going to be gorging themselves like Thanksgiving at Grand Country Buffet!
White jigs, white crank baits silver spoons, and white streamer flies. Anything that look like those shiny little silver/white shad.
In addition, Taneycomo is now being stocked with more warm water species. Not by MDC, but by the Corps of Engineers through the opening of flood gates. Largemouth, Kentucky, Smallmouth Bass. Crappie, Walleye, and who knows what will be dumped into Taneycomo now.
As a side note, if you are one apt to release (in grease) to fry another day these warm water species, only state wide limits, and rules apply. That means no minimum length for bass, and crappie. Also the daily limit for crappie, should you find a bunch of them, is 30. The minimum length rule for Walleye being the state wide rule of 15"
