Did you dive into the spring or downstream? Do you have pictures? I bet the water felt warm if it was 20 degrees out when you were diving.

ggh asked to hear more about our trip to Bennett Springs State Park for diving on 02/10/18 so I thought I would start a new thread as to not hijack the other one.
The weather was 20 degrees & freezing rain, the water was 55 degrees so it did feel quite warm in the water.
We really hated to get out, did two dives & in between the dives and after diving while loading the gear it was pretty miserable.
We dived into the cavern at the mouth of the spring where the spring begins and the water flows up out of the cavern which is 80 foot deep to what is called the keyhole where the water flows out & becomes more of a cave at that point.
Any diver can dive the cavern ( no cave certification needed as long as you don't pass through the keyhole) there is only one way in & out so there is no chance of getting lost.
You can see the entrance all the way from the keyhole at 80 foot. It is a pretty neat dive & very clear water, they only allow diving in the off season from November thru the end of February once trout season starts no diving allowed. There are tons of trout, sculpin, and some crawdsds.
I do have pictures & a couple of videos I shot, I really need to learn how to edit videos from my gopro but here is what I got.

I didn't have enough light to get very good video deep in the cavern, but you can search youtube for more & better videos of people diving the spring.

Thank you so much, bottomdweller.
And it just dawned on me...the meaning of your name!
Those are such good photos...makes me feel like I was there.
I'm going to watch your videos, too.

Thanks for sharing! Great way for those of us who will never dive to see things we would otherwise not ever see.
