Dean Z at Clay’s theater
Decided to catch Dean Z and his new show, the Ultimate Elvis, at the Clay Cooper theater last night. SUPERB performance by him.
Enjoyed seeing and listening to his brother Danny Z on lead guitar, and wife Stephanie on back up vocals with 2 other women calling themselves the “Deltatones”. Really enjoyed the brass section (4/5 piece, depending on song) that accompanied him during the show. They are known as the “b-Town Horns”. These guys were fantastic, and, as I really enjoy the slide trombone, were an unexpected treat. Dean was able to demonstrate his musical prowess also by playing fast and furious on the piano, bass guitar, lead guitar, drums, and acoustic guitar. The guy is such a talented performer and musician. This performance took me back to the good old days at Club 57, and his on stage antics, greatly appreciate! He was able to do many Elvis songs besides the old, worn out, overplayed ones you always hear. Enjoyed Bossa Nova probably the best. Also enjoyed his version of “Poke Salad Annie”...and although no one could top Tony Joe White, not even the King/Elvis in real life, Dean Z did it his own way, and very very good. I would highly reccommend this show, catch it while you can before he goes “ Christmas” on us very soon! |

I saw the show this week. Although I am not an Elvis fan, I thoroughly enjoyed his performance. He is an excellent entertainer.

DeanZ Live Stream
We bought and watched the live stream of last Friday's Dean Z show. The show was excellent and the quality of the live stream was excellent as well. The live streams are available for 48 hours after the show we were told, so we watched it a couple of times. So while it is not as much fun as being there in person, we are so grateful for the shows that are available via live stream until such time as we feel it is safe for our age group to attend live events. Thank you Dean Z and Clay Cooper Theater. I am hoping they will live stream the Christmas show as well.

Price of live stream
The price for live stream only was $20.00 plus tax. Came to about $23.00 and change. There were also several upgrade options for things like autographed photo, DVD etc. We really enjoyed it.
