Hook & Ladder Pizza Company in Hollister ???
Has anyone tried this place? I just noticed it, across from Casey's in Hollister (in that little building that has been many businesses). Cars were parked in front... looked busy.

The cars you saw were very likely contractors. We went to Black Horse last night and it didn't appear that they were open yet, and based on the boxes and stuff we could see piled in the entryway, I'd say they are still quite a ways away from opening. I could be wrong of course.

Wasn't there an article about it in the Independent earlier this month? I'll have to see if I still have that issue around here.

This news article indicated that "mid April" was an aggressive target open date. I'm sure it won't be too long now. Maybe another couple of weeks. I'm in that area ALOT and I'll keep everyone posted if I see any signs.

Yes, that was the article I remembered. I didn't get any results when I searched for "Hook and Ladder" on BTL.

Thanks! I'm anxious to try them out... hope they make it. DH drives right by it, on his way home every night. He could easily pick something up, on his way home. He likes to have pizza, on the nights I work late.

That building seems to be an excellent location. However, nothing ever seems to make it, there.

A friend of mine owns this place. Dave Herd, so I encourage everyone except Zach, to eat there and give it rave reviews.
Dave is with Western Taney County fire dept, so if he leaves in the middle of taking your order, it isnt bad customer service, it may be your house

I sure hope he makes a go of it. I too drive past this place just about every day and a "good" well priced pizza place is not what I need but sure is what I'd like.

They have got to be close now. As of 5:30 this evening, lots of tables and chairs outside... doors open, dining hall appeared to be empty instead of what had been up to this point full of scaffold, ladders, etc. As of 7:30 this evening, no tables and chairs outside. Couldn't see inside, but I'm assuming they were taken in and put in place. My guess is they are open no later than Monday.
