REVIEW: Farmhouse Restaurant, Tequila's Mexican Restaurant & Peppercorns

We've eaten at Farmhouse before & have always been happy with everything we've had. Good salad bar, fried chicken & fried catfish (not filleted), etc... but I had to leave a review this time because they had 'Tomato Bisque' soup (Mondays only) & it was WONDERFUL!!! I ended up taking my plate 'to-go' because I ate 3 bowls of soup before it arrived My husband got a steak that was more well done than medium & it was kind of tough, but overall good.

We also finally tried out Tequila's Mexican Restaurant in Branson West & it was also great. We've been wanting to try them for awhile, but just never got around to it until this past week. Hubby & I both got the Fajita Quesadilla & a bowl of cheese dip & both were delicious....!! Great service & great food!!

Peppercorns review........ We took all the kids to White Water & sent my mother and grandmother to see a show & eat dinner. We haven't been to Peppercorns before so we didn't know what to expect, but both were hoping for lots of vegetables & were surprised to find only green beans, okra, & corn after spending $30. Needless to say when they come back to visit I'll have to read these boards for reviews on places with lots of good veggies.

Peppercorn's used to be a good place to eat. The food was good and there was a nice variety of items. Boy, did things change. Last time we ate there it was awful. We asked the cashier if they had changed management and she said yes. That was before I started reading posts on this board. If I had read other reviews about the restaurant, as it is now, I would have saved the time and money.

Is really a shame about those five restuarants. We used to eat at all of them. We never cared much for baldknobbers, but the rest were very good restaurants. It didn't take them long to go down hill. Hope they don't buy any more restuarants in Branson---we could run out of restaurants

Thanks for the review of Farmhouse and Tequilla's; both are restaurants I've meant to try on one of my many trips to Branson but haven't ever done so. Fortunately, I've known about Peppercorns and related restaurants for quite some time; sorry you found out the hard way.

I didn't care for the Fall Creek Steak house. It was good but not good enough to go back.

We always thought Fallcreek Steakhouse was better in the old building before the fire. We enjoyed going in there and catching Rudy's rolls and listining to him sing. We were told at Ride The Ducks by a woman who works there and lives across the street from Rudy that when the new owners took over they basically in plain english told Rudy he wasn't needed anymore so he retired.. Thats #1 reason right there not to go there anymore.

Unfortunately they still use Rudy's picture in the ads.

Well we USE to eat at the Farmhouse cafe all the time------ we ate breakfast there many times a week!!!!! And other meals & Friday night Catfish!!
BUT we don't anymore--------
We had several bad experiences----- & the last time they poked us back in the very back in a corner---- & waited on everyone else who came in after us!!!
AFTER OVER 30 PLUS MINUTES ------ a guy came & said---to the table next to us-------( who came in long after we did)----- what would you like----sometime today----- as it is going to be over an hour wait for food today------
My Husband said to him----- we came in over 30 minutes ago---- & you have waited on EVERYONE--- BUT US!!!
And he had a really smart nasty remark----- & still didn't wait on us-----we got up & walked out-& he yelled nasty things to us as we walked out!!!!---- & have not gone back & we will never go there again & we will never take our guests there again either--- or tell anyone to eat there--
The last 12 or more times we went in------ it had gotten worse & worse- the last time --- was enough for us------
I'm the one who usually always hates to say anything bad about any business in Branson----- BUT if we eat down town now --we go to Clockers or the Shack & walk right by the Farmhouse!!!!
We gave them a lot of money --for a lot of years----- BUT not anymore!!!!
RUDE is RUDE!!!!! Nasty is nasty!!!!
I'm so very sorry for a negative post from me-- BUT ---- the truth is the truth!! I'm sorry about the negative!! I'll try not to let it happen again!!

Oh- I'm very sorry I wanted to add------- that we owned over 20 businesses over the past 40 years & I believe if you are unhappy about something instead of broadcasting it to the world --you need to contact the owner or manager---- So when I felt like it would not be a total "rush time" for them- I called & asked to talk to the owner or manager---- & the person on the phone said --And about WHAT?????
And I said-- are you the manager or owner----& they said-- I believe so----what is your problem--- (& I'm not really sure-- if I was not talking to the male who was so rude to us in the cafe)------
To say our conversations went nowhere would be an understatement & they were beyond rude to me!!
I said we have owned many businesses & if there was a problem--I liked to know about it as the owner & to help in anyway possible----
And he said---- well we were busy--what did you expect!!!!!
And I said Sir----- I know what "busy is"----- & I have worked my butt off being busy-- in many of my businesses --BUT it never gave me the right to be RUDE OR NASTY!!!!!!!!! And I thanked him for his time & said I was terrible sorry to have bothered him!!!!!!
