Thumbs down Gyros and More

Having been on the run all day and skipping every meal , i, in my infinite wisdom, on my way home from work at 8:30ish, decided to quickly get a burger at Gyros and More, located just across the street from the entrance to Tanger Mall. Rumor on the street was that the burgers were great as was everything else. Also was told this is Dimitri's family, maybe Dimitri himself running the shop. I ordered a cheeseburger and fries to go. The burger is a preformed burger pattie, possibly from frozen. The finished product sported NO cheese, two tiny rings of onion, a piece of lettuce about as big as two pickles, and two pickles. The burger was edible but there is no excuse for how the burger arrived to the customer. Perhaps their food is great, maybe the other items are awesome. I don't know and I won't be returning to find out. Thank you, and good night.

I believe it is owned by Dimitri's son Samson, but I don't think he actively manages it. I have heard very similar things from others, but haven't ventured in there since it was re-opened. (Before Gyros and More, they were operating it as a pastry/coffee shop....it was very good, but I think they were hoping for more traffic if they went with sandwiches and burgers.)

thanx for the update Ms Terese, i did intend to edit the post somewhat and mention that i was just repeating what i had heard about the management but i forgot to do that. And....i had been in there when it was a pastry/coffee shop and it was very good.

We're just going to have to get Chester's to stay open 24/7 so we don't have these problems. Nothing is worse that those tiny frozen patties--no flavor, no nothing. At least they should have garnished it enough so you wouldn't have to taste the awful pattie.

Where is Jeremy when you need him.

Thank you so much for saving me some time and money! I wanted to give this place a try, but I'm not thinking I will anymore. Sounds like a Wendy's burger to me! Where is Chester when you need him, right?

Why would anyone, especially someone with a chesters link in their signature line, go to a Greek Restaurant, order a hamburger and then complain that it doesn't measure up to a $8 gourmet burger?

Did you try any of their Greek specialties, desserts or cheeses? It's a great little place and deserves better than what you gave it and I'm surprised that others are willing to blow it off based on a burger review. It's a GREEK place.

We know, we know. You like chesters.

There is no excuse for the burger so don't even try that one, a 5 year old could have produced a better sandwich. As i said, i ordered a CHEESE burger, got NO cheese, a piece of lettuce so tiny.....you know the story....but anyway, so it's a greek place but they SLOP out a sandwich so pathetic one wouldn't go back.....you don't even make any sense, all of their food should be good, maybe thats why ALL of their meats and cheeses and what was left of the desserts were marked 50% off, cause NOBODY is going there?????? Go lay down by your dish.
