Dessert Ideas
Anyone got any good dessert ideas for me to take to our Thanksgiving dinner next week. We are having ours a little early this year. Something other than pumpkin and pecan pies. Any ideas or recipes would be greatly appreciated.

Pumpkin Gooey Butter Cake
(I made this Friday for a potluck at work and it was a huge hit) Cake 1 (18 ounce) package yellow cake mix 1 egg 8 tablespoons butter, melted Filling 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese 1 (15 ounce) can pumpkin 3 eggs 1 teaspoon vanilla 8 tablespoons butter, melted 1 (16 ounce) box powdered sugar 1 teaspoon cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg 1/2 teaspoon clove Directions 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 2Combine cake mix and egg and butter mix well, pat the mixture into the bottom of a lightly greased 13x9 inch baking pan. 3Filling: beat cream cheese and pumpkin until smooth, add eggs, vanilla and butter and beat together. 4Next, add powdered sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and mix well. Spread pumpkin mixture over cake mixture and bake for 40 to 50 minutes. Do not over bake; the center should be gooey. |

My family fights over this
Mama's Banana Pudding" (American) (serves 20 people) 2 bags Pepperidge Farm Chessmen cookies(or other butter-type cookie) 6-8 bananas, sliced 2 cups milk 1 box(5 oz.) "instant" French vanilla pudding mix 1 package(8 oz.) cream cheese, softened 1 can (14 oz.) sweetened condensed milk 1 container(12 oz.) frozen whipped topping, thawed or equal amount sweetened whipped cream Line the bottom of a rectangular pan with 1 bag of cookies and layer banana slices over that. In a bowl, combine milk and pudding mix. Blend well using an electric mixer. Using another bowl, combine cream cheese and condensed milk together and mix until smooth. Fold the whipped topping into the cream cheese mixture.Add the cream cheese mixture to the pudding mixture and stir until well blended. Pour the mixture over the cookies and bananas and cover with the remaining cookies. Refrigerate until ready to serve. |

Here's one more, that's kinda different.
CHOCOLATE BUTTERFINGER TRIFLE 1 box Butter Chocolate Cake Mix 1 Large Tub of Cool Whip 1 jar of Hot Fudge Topping (find it in the ice cream section of grocer) 5 Large Butterfingers Real easy. Bake the cake according to the box instructions. Let it cool. Crumble it up...and place 1/3 on the bottom of trifle dish. Slightly heat the fudge topping, pour a layer on cake. Add layer of crumbled Butterfingers, then a layer of Cool Whip. Start the layering again...in the same order until you reach the top of the trifle dish. Top off with cool whip! Sprinkle some Butterfinger crumbs as a topping! Okay, so I like chocolate and peanut butter! ![]() |

Blueberry Yum Yum
Ohhhh! they all sound so good! Was wondering on the Blueberry Yum Yum if a person wants to be lazy like me, why couldn't you use a can of blueberry pie filling in place of using the fzn blueberries, cornstarch and so forth. Anyone tried this? Just curious.
