Need kitchen

I'm looking for a place to stay at on the strip that has a regular kitchen or a small kitchen. I need a cookstove, refrigerator and a microwave. Is there any place like that? I know the cabins around the lake are available but we were hoping to stay downtown.

Not exactly downtown, but across from downtown on Lakeshore Drive there are several places, you are literally less than 5 minutes from the strip from those places. Cloud Nine Resort, Taneycomo Resort are 2 that stick out -- you might try them. I've stayed at Cloud Nine and it was nice.

We stayed at Cloud Nine several years ago. It was nice and quite. My husband went fishing in Taneycomo everyday, and I went shopping, alone, so I loved it. It gave him something to do so he didnt have to follow me around.

Shelby -- if you want to stay just off the strip but a little bit further east of downtown -- we've stayed at Cooper Creek before and they were also very nice. Both Cooper Creek and Cloud Nine had all the comforts of home including microwaves. Cooper Creek even had the salt and pepper for you to use. I loved the view from Cloud Nine but now would probably just sit and cry since my beautiful downtown is now gone. But we moved over to Rockaway Beach and found some very nice places over there to stay.

We like having a kitchen and feel like we have a little more privacy in cabins - don't hear the neighbors upstairs, downstairs or next door. I'm sure this should give you a pretty good idea of some places to stay.

I think you can get that at the Raddisson which is behind or close to Grand Palace.Probably some of the others might have that too.
