branson/ Eureka Springs trip report day 5
friday, June 10. I knew the crowd was coming in and I wanted to get far away from Branson so we took a day trip to Eureka Springs. The ride to Eureka Springs was beautiful. We parked at the Eureka Springs tours and info. center right across from sonny's pizza. it was $5 for all day. We bought all day trolly passes for $3.00. We got brochures and headed to the trolly station. We had breakfast in Eureka Springs. I think it was Eureka Springs diner or something. Breakfast was okay. We took the trolly to the Chrystal hotel. Beautiful grounds. We took a hike in the park next to the hotel and seen some beautiful victorian homes. Make sure you bring bug spray if your hiking. Then we took a trolley to where the passion play was to see the statue. We took pictures then returned to town for some shopping. Lots of nice little shops. We were done around 3:00. If I had to do this trip over I would have stayed the night in Eureka Springs and saw the pine mountain jamboree. We had a great time in Eureka Springs. I also would have liked to see white river and maybe even take a float. We headed back to branson and went to dinner at the wooden nickle in indian point. We had a nice dinner and even coctails. I think that is the only resaurant in branson that serves coctails. We ordered prime ribs. They were excellent and they also had a nice salad bar. The restaurant was a little pricey but we had a good meal and good service. We headed back to Stillwaters to pack since we were leaving for springfield tommorrow. Back with day 6 Springfield tommorrow. Happy fathers day!
