Annual Bird Count Dec. 31 in Branson

"Counting in Branson area will be on Dec. 31. Each area has a 15-mile-diameter circle in which volunteers fan out to count and record every bird they see in 24 hours. There are more than a dozen similar bird-count circle locations across Missouri and hundreds across the United States.

Their effort is part of the 117th annual Audubon Society's Christmas Bird Count, conducted nationwide where bird lovers will be documenting what they see in similar-sized counting circles. Audubon's Christmas Bird Count will take place between Dec. 14 through Jan. 5."

I hope there's good weather for the Bird Count. It could be a good day out activity.
