Plantation Inn?

I just got a great deal and now wonder if it was worth it.

What was your opinion of Plantation Inn? Tell me about the breakfast.
I suppose if you give me ill reviews I'll gift it to my inlaws. Ha!

All we ever eat there is breakfast, we go early by 7:30, like the food, good price for all you can eat.

Terrible food. Possibly the worst I've ever had. Old, cold, dried out chicken and ribs, and the most flavorless sides I've ever eaten. If you're into 8 dollar mashed potato and gravy buffets, this place is adequate. Otherwise, eat ANYWHERE else. Hideous is the best one word descriptor I can give here. The best.

Are you asking about the Inn or the Restaurant? The Restaurant is one of the worst we've tried (FIL picked the place that night ). I've wondered about the motel too. . .

I'm thinking the inn since this thread is in Lodging. There is a special on half off deals Branson for this motel that appears to be a good bargain.

I have not stayed at this motel, but know that until recently it was a Super 8. (I don't know why they dropped the franchise association.) I have stayed at the other Super 8 on Green Mountain Drive, and it was a pleasant stay. The more recent reviews of this place are hit and miss, but the manager did respond to one negative review from last summer to say that they are doing some remodeling for 2012.

I think at that price I would be willing to give it a try--just go into it with the expectation that it will be basic, no frills lodging and you probably will feel like you got a good value.

That's what I thought, too, since it's posted in Lodging. I was just trying to clarify since people were talking about the restaurant.

Yes I was asking about the motel, not the restaurant. I've been reading restaurant reviews and taking mental notes of which ones to avoid.

I love how fired up people on here can get when they really care about something. That's why I come here.
