Table Rock Spillway Release
Heads up --
the Corps of Engineers will begin a spillway release from Table Rock Dam today. We expect little to no impact from this. However, we have a team on standby monitoring the situation and are making preparations to move quickly if things change.

From the Corps:
The Corps of Engineers, Little Rock District will begin a spillway release from Table Rock Dam the afternoon of May 1.

Five spillway gates will be opened one foot each releasing about 5,000 cubic feet per second combined with the 24-hour hydropower releases of about 10,000 c.f.s. the combined release will be about 15,000 c.f.s. One of the four hydropower turbines is currently off-line.

For more information call the Table Rock Lake Project Office at 417-334-4101.
Daily lake information can be obtained at www.swl-wc.usace.army.mil or the Corps' mobile App which can be found in mobile App stores by searching for USACE Little Rock.

With 15,000 cfs equaling 4 full units they are only making up for one unit being down.
The good thing, lots of shad will be coming over the spillway leading to more fat and happy trout in Taneycomo. Also the consequential "stocking" of more warm water species like crappie, walleye, and bass.
