Just wanted to mention the restaurant at Crystal Bridges. Inside a glass enclosed peninsula (for lack of a better term) and it is definitely a neat experience. The best tables are next to the windows, so don't accept anything else. We ate there about 2 years ago and the food was crazy good. However, I have to say the food last fall was just OK. Good for sure, but not like the first time.

That whole thing looks very nice. How is the drive down there and back?

GGH...shhhshhhh....don't tell anyone about Jacks Fork....it's too good of an "almost private" float/fishing spot....:)

Daytrips from Branson

We are from central Illinois and frequent visitors to Branson. Wonders of Wildlife museum and Aquarium did not disappoint. I have been to several aquariums and I have to say both the museum and aquarium are awesome experiences. On our last trip we visited the Ozark Heritage museum at Top of the Rock. Another incredible experience and I enjoyed the Native American exhibits.

Depends on the route, there are several including going through Eureka Springs, that would run you close to Beaver Lake Dam and Pea Ridge Military Park. You could route in War Eagle Mill as well or a host of other ways.

I'd do this. Leave Branson, eat breakfast at Granny's in Huntsville Ar, arrive at Fayettevilla Townn Square around 10:30 to 11:00. Eat Lunch at Hugo's or other area restaurant, there's plenty of local options. Drive through the Uof A campus, take Ark 112 to I-49 and head up to Bentonville. Spend the afternoon at Crystal Bridges, head to Eureka Springs and eat supper at Emilios or other local place and back to Branson

Very interesting. But pretty much just a warm-season option, correct?
