Polar Express Train

Could I get a few thoughts on the train ride please. We were thinking of taking our young grand kids in late November. Is it worth the money? We would be interested in the reserved sitting tickets. Thanks...

Lots of reviews at trip advisor.

We have not been, but the common theme among people we know seems to be--not much scenery, overpriced, but the kids like it.

Sounds like most train rides...whether they are tourist trains or Amtrak. An adult really has to love trains (which I do) to enjoy them.

Actually the train ride in Durango, Colorado is probably an exception to what you are saying. It is a really awesome train ride.

Yes, I've heard that it is spectacular but I've never been on it. I would love to try it someday.

My daughter and I didn't think it was worth it, but kids like it. For us, it was not money well spent.

Does anyone know how long the trip is? I've looked on the website, but I couldn't find it. I see that it is a 40 mile round trip, but I was curious as to how much time we need to set aside if we choose to do the Polar Express tour. Thanks everyone!
