If you haven't called the Grand Palace lately for tickets... be warned this might happen to you.

reserved mine.

2 shows, superstar show + Oak Ridge Boys

wanted credit card #, said it would be charged
asked for name, address, gave me cancellation policy, ect..

then told me that they would have to switch me to another operator who would give me my confirm #

2nd operator comes on, but before giveing me the # she proceeds to tell me that I can have 2 of the Oaks tickets free... all I have to do is sit through a 90 minute timeshare sales pitch.

told her we didn't have time for that.... read to much about how these 90 minute sales deals turn into half day events.

her... you mean you don't have 90 minutes of time to save 84.00.

me ... no ma'am we really don't

her... are you sure

me ...yes

after the third time she accepted it... which was good because I had decided if she asked once more, my reply was going to be that I didn't thing we'd have time for the Oaks either.

I did finally get a confirm #.

I seeeeeeeeeee.....said the blind man......ahaaaaaaaaa.

I wondered if it wasnt coming to that.......

The last time they asked me if I didnt have time to save money, and buy more tickets at one time, which saves money, I suggested they mind their own damn business........MONEY WAS NO PROBLEM FOR ME.......and it certainly was none of their business........

I felt so good after that exchange.....hehehehehhe....generally I am NOT THAT RUDE. I realize its not the workers fault.....but they did take the job, and agreed to annoy me....

(they didnt of course realize I live close by...and am a daytimer...with no need to plan so far in advance..or now...sit through a TIME SHARE pile of garbage)...

When I want tickets I want tickets........when I told them that .... at the desk there.....she said....(whispering)...I know....I said, you ever do that to me again on the phone.....and I'll go somewhere else....LIKE NASHVILLE.

Okie...pssssssssssst.....you shouldnt start this stuff....gets me going........roflololol;)

I hate when they do this. That is the one part I dont like about Branson is the timeshare people bugging you everywhere you go.

I called to reserve Tickets for cirque and brett daniels and they did the same thing to me. My Brother sales timeshares and he says the pressure is very high for the people who sale them. He said it can come down to just one more person saying no and they can lose their job. Therefore I don't go because I know I will not buy and I don't want to be responsible for someone getting fired.

I also got the sales pitch when I made reservations for Kenny Rogers at the Grand Palace. Today, July 3rd, I got a phone call from the GP wanting to conform my seats, then the "pitch". I don't remember giving them my phone number but I must have. Wish it was several years ago when they had a "Super Sunday" with two good shows and no hassel. It's nice to have a place to vent my anger Thank You db

Grand Palace isn't the only one. I got a phone call a couple of days ago wanting to know how I enjoyed the Moe Bandy show. What it boiled down to was that my cell phone number was given when I reserved the seats and then someone used that number to call me to try and get me interested in a vacation club. Moe...I am one unhappy customer because of this.

I also had a call from someone using the Moe Bandy show as a lead in. Several months ago, I had the same type of call using another theater name to get my attention. I really don't want those calls.
