I seem to remember that there was at least one other version of the Promise that played, I believe in Texas.

Does anybody know was there ever a Promise production that was taped and put out for viewing on TV?

Couple of nights ago.. Christmas Eve maybe? couldn't sleep .. put the tv on mute flipping around and there was this musical play on about 3;00 or 4;00 in the morning, could see it was filmed before a live audience. At the time didn't think much about it, but later got to thinking it reminded me a lot of The Promise from Branson, but it did have different actors...... so figured it wasn't the same Branson play.

No there wasn't. The Texas production was taped and shown on TBN as I recall about once a year. The version showing Randy Brooks is over 8 years old.It will show him going down in a large pool between the stage and the audience to be baptized. As we have watched some of the Christian stations, there are churches that have performed the Promise and shown it on various stations. I saw one version as well just about a week ago that I had to look twice at.

that's probably what it was then one of those other versions that was taped at a church, it was eerie how similiar it was, just different actors, set designs were even similiar. Jesus had short dark hair and a beard though so I knew it wasn't the Branson one, and the narrator was wearing robes instead of a western outfit, other than that it looked the same.

Last I knew, the Promise website listed Korea as the site for the 2004 season. Don't know all the details, or even if it's finalized yet. Would be nice to see them back in Branson!

Mr Music Korea is a go but only 4 days of performances in April.
