Branson West, MO, November 4, 2011: THE GOURMET GROCER, Branson’s “Home of Foodie Bliss,” marked it’s first anniversary of business on October 15, 2011. As a way of showing thanks to locals for such overwhelming support over the past year, GOURMET GROCER is throwing an Anniversary Celebration, free of charge, on November 4, 2011 from 4 to 8pm. The event will take place at GOURMET GROCER, 15038 Hwy 13 South, between Branson West and Kimberling City.
“We feel so blessed by the level of support and patronage that we have seen from locals over the past year, from both sides of the lake,” said General Manager Dustin Rhodes. “We really wanted to do something extra special to show our thanks, what we’ve came up with is an Event like nothing we’ve held before!”
“For this event we have lined up 3 different wine purveyors and 1 beer purveyor to be on-site, each sampling 4 of their best labels. Being the only store in Missouri that carries Petit Jean Meats, we will have a Petit Jean rep in the store sampling their award-winning hickory smoked meats. Reps from Devo Olive Oil and Sassie Sharon’s Flavored Vinegars will be sampling their products. We’re really excited to have partnered with Chef Robert Stricklin, of College of the Ozarks and Keeter Center; he is bringing three of his culinary students who will each be performing live cooking demonstrations using ingredients found at GOURMET GROCER and, of course, there will be samples of the dishes they prepare,” said Rhodes. “We have some very exciting prizes that we will be giving away every 30 minutes throughout the night! And, all of this is complimentary!”
GOURMET GROCER is not your average grocery store or wine shop. Upon entering the store, guests are warmly greeted as they enter into a setting similar to Old World Tuscany. GOURMET GROCER specializes in hard-to-find food items, over 60 different varieties of imported cheeses, over 200 hand-selected wines from boutique wineries (both domestic and imported), custom gift baskets and wine gift accessories. One unique aspect about GOURMET GROCER is the fact that guests are encouraged to “hang out!” GOURMET GROCER is set up with a warm and inviting tasting room, filled with comfy couches and intimate bistro tables as well as a large deck with seating to enjoy the stunning view of Table Rock Lake.
“Anything you purchase here may be opened and consumed on-site,” explains Jeremy Case, Assistant Manager, “We encourage guests to take advantage of this unique aspect of our store. We want our patrons to feel as though they are actually guests in our own home. During the celebration, guests will actually have the opportunity to make selections and enjoy them here on-site!”
Owners Kip and Kris Scott and staff cordially invite everyone in the community to be their guests on Friday, November 4th, so we can express our sincere appreciation for the support we have been shown here.
For further information and last-minute announcements regarding the Celebration, interested parties are encouraged to check with GOURMET GROCER’s facebook page at www.facebook.com/gourmetgrocer or call the store at 417-739-1985.
