It was to be a whirl Wind trip . First and foremost was to assist ageing parents with numerous needs. That accomplished and a few days left . over, we headed to Branson Mo. From Horseshoe Bend Ar.
We did take in two shows The Andy Williams Christmas Show , and Dolly’s Dixie Stampede. What more can I say about Andy's show than. . . . Wonderful ! Dollys on the other hand , well it is very similar to the Medieval Times show, that is seen here outside Chicago, with a few exceptions.
#1. Dolly has a Bigger and Nicer building and grounds. Oh and a FREE beverage and free is not what you ever expect, worked into the over all price or not. Food at Dollies was in larger portions and tasted better and was served very quickly. The young riders working at both the above named shows are to be commended on their skills. But in the end , at least for us, Dollies show was just Much More Fun, Much more entertaining.
We talked to lots people, Young Old Retired Semi-retired and working full time . Not so much as one person regretted moving to the Branson Area. This may or may not mean much to some or many of you .But we also have a home on the Island of Cozumel Mexico. Cozumel also being a huge tourist destination and thought to be by many, as one of the Worlds Greatest Dive destination’s as well. Where you might ask am I going with this ?
Well I assure you I can direct you to numerous Retired Semi-retired and those working full time who in fact regret moving to THAT little slice of Paradise!!
We started with a list of 37 homes all in our price range. What is BTW available here for $200,000.00 is not much and not somewhere were any of you would more than likely desire to visit, let alone retire to. Oh BTW we choose to focus on the Kimberling City Area for personal needs .
We brought that list down , after 2 days to two very desirable home’s, each with 3 bedroom 2 or more baths. on nice lots, well you get the idea and for under the $200 K price we wanted to spend. We are now focusing on finalizing my retirement. Selling several parcels or land a Grand Victorian where we live full time and . . . .a very nice 2bed 2 bath home on the island of Cozumel, in Mexico,
The move is imminent and is to be done only with Gods Blessing and Guidance of coarse and just as soon or as fast as is his desire for us . So that is what we found when we visited Branson .
We ate at Landry's Excellent Montana Mikes so so at best and Panelopes for breakfast a good deal imho.
