I noticed that the McDonald's in Branson doesn't have the same menu as the one here. We have Cappicino (or however it is spelled) and Branson doesn't. It is very good. I also noticed that is very busy all the time. We were out really late a couple of nights but we never went to McDonald's until the day before we left, because it was too busy. Hubby decided not to order any food because didn't have the "coffee" he wanted and we went to "Steak and Shake" instead. I really enjoy the fries with cheese. Right now I am craving them but it is an hour drive to the nearest one. lol.

I think the Cappicino that McD's has is about the same as the Kum & Go's French Vanilla ...

A vacation w/o my coffee fix isn't really a vacation, for me or dh! ;)

Hope your dh gets his fix next year!

Neither can we - I truely wish they'd left the name alone - but I guess things do change, huh?

IMO, the Cappuccino at McD's isn't as good as Git N Go use to have, and I think that even with the name change Kum & Go has kept the same Cappuccino. (One of my dd's works at Panera, and I've now learned to like 'expensive' coffees from there, and StarBucks - Cappuccino doesn't do it for me any longer.)

I'm not sure where a Kum & Go will be located in Branson - but most of the Convience stores, like Quick Trip, do carry Cappuccino which is comparable to what you'll find at McDonalds. The McD's in Springfield have carried Cappuccino, don't know if they still have it or not, as I haven't tried to order it since late winter.

Is Panera's coffee really that good? People talk a lot about Starbucks but I was never impressed.

Islandgirl -

What are you looking for in a cup of coffee?

I'm not an expresso gal - I like to dilute my expresso with lots of cream, sugar and flavorings - I've learned lots about coffees with dd at Panera - many places and some employees dont' pay much attention to the temp, but the temp of the cream as it steams does make a big difference I've learned.

Give me a Panera speciality coffee, or coffee drink, or a Starbucks speciality drink any day - you can keep the instant mix cappuccino!

I really haven't found anything at Starbucks I like and I really didn't care for the Dunkin' Donuts. I will keep an eye out for anywhere else I might find something I like. What about some of the other "coffee" places around Branson, Has anyone tried any of those is so what are they like?

Have you tried Cappuccino Country in the Victorian Village Shopping Center on Sheperd of the Hills Expressway?

I've tried the Cappuccino Country in the Engler Block Mall. It was OK, but not as good as Panera or Starbucks. If you like the instant Cappuccino made from powder like they have at McDonalds and Convienient stores then you can get the same thing at the grocery store. The line of General Foods International Coffee's is pretty good. I keep a can of Swiss Mocha around for those late evening cafine cravings :)

It also comes in a Sugar-free, caffine-free version. :)

My wife and I really like that White Chocoalte Mocha at Starbucks. I really don't know much about the coffee places. Most of the time I am stuck drinking Hotel Coffee LOL!

I will try that white chocolate mocha next time I get to Starbucks. I am sorry if I come off sounding stupid but I have never been much of a strong coffee drinker. When I drink regular coffee at home I add milk and sugar because I really like it smooth and creamy. That is what I think makes a good coffee something that I enjoy. Each person has different tastes when it comes to things. That was a simple question. All I wanted to know was where can I get some sweet and creamy flavored cappuccino. Which is better lattes or cappuccinos? I haven't been to the one at Engler's Block in a few years, and I really don't remember it. I will have to try it next time. Thanks.

Yes do try the White Chocolate Mocha it is some good stuff. I like Cream & Sugar in my regular Coffee but with White Chocolate Mocha I don't have to do all of that stuff LOL! It has a nice Whipped Cream on the top of it too. Man, it is some awesome stuff.
