and my ds 7 got to be in the pre-show. It was so funny because the juggler gave him a ball and a stick and said "spin" meaning for him to spin the ball on the stick and my ds just started spinning in circles. It was hilarious. Anyways, we had a super great time, and if anyone is planning a trip to Branson, you just have to go there. You won't be disappointed, I promise!!
And that means you too Cheesecake :D

It is a fun show to go to. We have been twice. I think we are going to skip it this year though. When we went for our first show my husband and I both got to be part of the races they do during the main show. We had a blast. We even won medals.

I have a comment for all of those that say the "no utensils" is what keeps them away from this show............... do you eat fries with your fingers? corn on the cob? bone in chicken? bread? a danish? my point is, ALL of the food is finger food! it's not like they serve you a steak and you have to eat it like an animal! LOL!!
PLEASE don't miss this show because you're afraid to eat with your fingers! ;)

We attended the 8 PM show on Friday, July 17th and
it was a packed theater. Not one empty seat in the
entire theater....they announced 1100 people present.
We sat on the South Side as that was what was available,
and just had the best time.
My sis, Kris, had never attended and just had a super time
too.
The food is delicious (more than enough for 1 and they pass out
doggie bags at the end), rodeo competition, singing & dancing
were just great fun.
Like the above posters stated, don't worry about the
'not silverware' as it isn't needed for the type of foods
served....plus they pass out warm, moisened towels
after the main course is completed.
Everyone was very neighborly & friendly there.

We couldn't talk the kids into it when we first arrived in town. All they could think about was White Water and go-carts. By Tuesday night we took them to see the horses after a show. We met a very nice man that was feeding the horses oats and we followed him to every horses stable. We all enjoyed visiting with him and had a great time just looking at and petting the horses. Unfortunately the shows were all sold out for the remainder of our stay though.

Hi, All. We went to the Dixie Stampede on Sunday. First of all I would like to say that the preshow of the juggler was FANTASTIC. Also, our server was outstanding - a real personable fellow that worked hard.
Though my husband liked the pork really well, we were disappointed in the rest. I felt the chicken was too bland to eat and the vegtable servings were too small. We both agreed the soup was fantastic. I guess, for my money, the servings of everything but the meat should have been larger.
The show was okay but we just didn't feel it was worth the money when there are a lot better choices in Branson. Thats just my humble opinion.
BTW, I did NOT mind the lack of flatware. It made since given the type of serving. I found the servers more impressive than the performers.

My son has to avoid caffeine and I've been curious what they serve for desert. Also what types of soda do they have to drink?

An apple turnover type thing for dessert and coke or tea to drink. I can't remember if they serve sprite or 7-up too?

Poor kid has to avoid CHOCOLATE... every once in a blue moon he'll have a smidge... but really only a tiny smidge. He's pretty diligent about avoiding it.

The times I have been there drink choices were Pepsi, Iced Tea or water.
