Hi everybody,
I am just wondering a little something here. Some people that have been say they went to the show were disappointed but enjoyed it. What was disappointing about it? What were you expecting? One thing to remember the man is 65 years old now. But to me he performs just as well as he always has. He did disappoint me a little in 1993, but later found out that he was getting burned out on doing two shows 6 days a week, so I am sure that had something to do with why I did not enjoy the show as much. DOn't get me wrong it was good, but was missing alot of songs, and was alot shorter than it was in 1992. Now, he seems fresh again and is doing just as great of a job as he did in that theater in the early 90's.

Yes, it seemed to me that Ray Stevens was happy to be back in Branson. He was relaxed and having a good time. That's always important if you want your audience to have a good time.

Great Show ! We had front row seats and that helped. You needed to be able to see his facial expressions. Will probably see his show again later in the year. :D The Good Ole Days Are Right Now !

We loved this show!!! The people sitting behind us said it was the second time they had seen it this year and at that time it had only been open 1 week, so I guess they loved it too. They sure acted like they did. :D We had never seen Ray Stevens live before, but we were very pleased with this show. :)
We saw his show last week and enjoyed it. We plan to see it again in November.

We saw Ray's Area Appreciation show, the night before he officially opened. I enjoyed the show, although he didn't come out until towards the end of the first half. That was the only thing that disappointed me, but I can understand why he did it that way. All in all, I thought he did a great job. Wish I was closer, though, so I could've seen the facial expressions - we were in the nosebleed section! But worth the price we paid!

Thanks, Share.
The other entertainment is provided by Ray's 8 piece band and female fiddle player and Janice Copeland, and The Brazen Hussies, the back-up singers.

Well, it is mostly Ray. The Band,Jancie Copeland,Nancy Henson and the Brazin Hussies part of the show only take 30 minutes. By 8:30 Ray is out, sings three songs with jokes in between them, that takes about 15 minutes. Then after intermission it is one hour and fifteen minutes of Ray. But I am glad you did enjoy it, and I would love to see his christmas show but that won't be possible for me. Hope you make it so you can tell us about it.

I don't know for sure, but I can almost guess he will do a christmas show. Around 1999 he came out with a christmas comedy CD, he did christmas shows in 1998 and 1999 in Nashville. When we were in Branson last month he was on the vacation channel talking about the Christmas season. So I am pretty sure he will have a different show for christmas. I am sure he will do his best known comedy songs, but may take out some of the lesser known songs and replace them with his christmas comedy songs. Also, Janice Copeland is amazing. I loved her since I first saw her in the Ray Stevens show in 1992. I also saw her in Pierrce Arrow and she was amazing there as well. She was the main reason I went to see Pierce arrow. I am so glad that she has gone as far as she has in Branson, because most shows would not give her the time of day just because of one thing, she is heavey set. Sadly enough I think it is sad that shows or anywhere in the music bussiness that don't hire somebody with great talent just because they are a little over weight. Janice is proof that you don't have to be slim and trim to have talent. When Janice sings she can put any one of the slim and trim girls to shame.

Hello All,
I am coming to Branson the first week of August to do some fishing on Taneycomo and thought I might catch a show or two. Where is Ray Stevens theater located? Is it on the 76 strip? How far west on the strip. Is it on the North or South side? I know most of the routes around the strip. Just need to know where to get on for best access to his theater.
Thank You All and God Bless!!

Well my directions are not the best, but if you know Branson well then I guess you would know where Coutry Tonite was for the last 10 years? That is where he is now.

It's on the corner of 76 and Sheperd of the Hills Expressway...up on the hill.

We saw his show last Friday afternoon. He was wonderful. After seeing other shows I am not sure why it disappoints people that he isn't out much in the first half. ALL of the other shows we saw had other performer through out the show. RS just had his all at the beginning. Frankly, I preferred that.
The man's talent is unbelievable. So is that of his cast, for that matter. I highly recommend this show to all. Definitely worth the price of admission.
