Sorry to hear that Share had problems at the Presleys show. We went on Friday night and really enjoyed it. Maybe some of the jokes are old but we still laugh and enjoy them. We have been going to see them 2 times a year for about 10 years and look forward to going again in November. I don't feel like the new announcer, Larry, is comfortable or something but think he is a good singer and fits in good. I also like both the new lady singers but miss Paula.

Country Tonight:
Went to see it on Monday night and enjoyed it as usual but wish they still had all the dancers that they had last season. They only had 4 and I believe they had twice that many last season. Johnny Lonestar is back and did several rope tricks. Susie Webber is still with them and we enjoyed her also.
Will see them again when we go back in Nov.

Ray Stevens:
I am a Ray Stevens fan from long ago so I enjoyed all his songs. I enjoyed the program and plan to go back next trip.

Will post about other shows later so this won't get too long and boring.

It sounds like you and me have some of the same taste. Ray Stevens and Country Tonite? Hey those are my two favorites! Like you I miss all of the dancers but still thought it was a great show. I thought this years show was great, I was really glad they got rid of that radio thing they did last year and went back to their famous format. I am afraid that when they changed the format last year they kinda hurt themselves a little. I have alot of ideas about why they did that, and why so many performers left. But it is so great to see Johnny Lonestar again. Now if they could get Clay Cooper back to host it? LOL, I think he is happy doing what he is doing.

Where is Ray Stevens appearing?? Possibly in his "old" building where Country Tonight is/was? I need to get up there & cruise around town just to see who is where!

Mfhud, Ray Stevens is in the Country Tonight Theatre which I think is where he was when he was there before. Country Tonight has moved to another threatre, I think to Jimmy Osmonds threater. Someone correct me if I am wrong..
Cheesecake, I hope you find a way to go to see him as we enjoyed it and maybe you would too. He sings some of his old songs, which of course, is what we wanted.
We also saw Hank and My Honky Tonk Heroes at the Majestic Theatre which we enjoyed. Of course one would have to like that type of music. I think the performer did a good job of telling the story of Hank and singing the songs that he wrote at those times of his life. He has a 4 piece band that was ok, but there is no one else in the show. But as I said we enjoyed it and would go again.

Thanks, DKA. It'll seem good to be able to see Ray Stevens at his "home" theatre. He's so funny, but when seeing him, I find myself wishing that he'd sing his songs all the way through, as he never seemed to finish one......only a few lines from each one. I've been told that Janice Copeland is back with him too. She alone is worth the price of admission!
