We are Branson regulars and have seen just about every musical and magic show in town, so we were looking for something a little different this trip. There is no music in this entire show, just a lot of lumberjack action, from climbing up a 50' pole. to spinning on logs in the pool. to throwing axes, to chain saw art, all contests between two competing groups of lumberjacks. Think Dixie Stampede without the horses but with chain saws and you will have an idea of what is going on here. The narrator got a little too "wordy" at times for me as he was telling me a lot of information I really didn't want to know, but he needed to give the guys a break between stunts, so he had to "stretch" a little and I understood that. The show was a lot of fun.
The meal was exceptionally good - steak or chicken, served on tin plates with homemade rolls, soup, escalped potatoes, and a really good strawberry shortcake for dessert. This meal was worth at least $20, and they even had silverware (unlike The Stampede).
They have a sunscreen in front of the outdoor bleachers which probably helps to block UV and prevents glare from looking into the setting sun during the show, but it made it a little hard to take pictures, and that is what I do, so it made it a little harder, but I did it by walking down in front of the screen and blocking the audience while I took the pics. Not a way to get along with your fellow diners.
If you like The Dixie Stampede you should try this show as well. It is as good and I even liked it better (and it doesn't cost as much).
