Convenient

Stayed here for three nights and were well satisfied with the rooms and complimentary breakfast. It's convenient to many shows.

Clean, Affordable, and Peaceful

I had made reservations online and they had been confirmed with an email! We checked in at 6 pm on Friday evening and all went great. Upon entering our room, we had the pleasure of seeing a balcony outside, so that was a nice plus!

We enjoyed the breakfast all three mornings. It consisted of donuts, toast, bagels, english muffins, biscuits and gravy, cereal, oatmeal, juice, ice water, sticky bun/cinnamon roll type deals and coffee! It is served from 6:45 am to 9 am ish in a large room below the indoor pool area. There was seating for about 70!

They have a very nice indoor pool and hot tub, that we used two mornings just as it opened at 7:30 am. Because it was so early we had the place to ourselves which was very nice. In the evenings we could look into the pool area from our balcony and see it was being VERY well used!

The room was nice and clean with two double beds, that DH said were a bit hard for his liking, but I didn't think they were too bad! They had plenty of cable stations on the tv and there was a nice little table and with two chairs also in the room!

They also have an outdoor pool between a couple of their buildings that I imagine will be up and running before long!

As we checked out the woman running the front desk was super nice and helpful. The couple that had been in there the evenings before weren't overly friendly and didn't seem to be happy to be there, so we just rather avoided them!

It was a nice stay and I do imagine we will check it out again sometime in the near future!

Affordable, roomy and friendly

We just got back from Southern Oaks. The rooms are definitely big... we had a 2 queen room, added a roll away and still had more room than your average hotel room! The indoor pool was nice, but a bit chilly for me (kids were fine). Hot tub was definitely nice. Continental breakfast was fine: doughnuts (cake and glazed), hot cinnamon rolls, biscuits and gravy, 3 or 4 kinds of cold cereal, bagels, bread for toasting, and packets of instant oatmeal. 3 kinds of juice, milk and coffee. Love the location... we got very good at taking the blue and red routes to avoid strip traffic.

In addition, we have a family suite reserved for this summer and asked if we could peek at one. The family suites are located in the lobby building on the second floor. There are 2 private bedrooms, each with a queen bed and 2 nightstands. Closet is located in the living area. Living area has a pull-out sofa, a kitchen table, a small fridge, and a microwave. One bathroom with vanity in the bathroom. Nice and roomy for a family.
