A must for everyone going to Branson. Wonderful information on the area, loved seeing all the old military vehicles on the trip to the lake, and the trip to the top of the hill for pictures was awe inspiring! Don't miss this fun ride!
Nice morning ride on the Ducks

We took this trip from the Fairfield Meadows at a reduced rate. It seemed like we didn't see as much as when we went last year but it was still enjoyable. It's a nice pleasant ride and a chance to see the country.

Ride The Ducks - What a fun time!
Written by Missouri Mom
We went to Branson in July and rode the ducks for the first time. In our group was my dh (36), myself (35), and two daughters (15 & 11). The thing about this ride was EVERYONE enjoyed it!
We purchased our tickets from KHOZ at a discounted rate but it would have been worth it even at full price. Our Captain was silly and corny, but informative even at times. We took a long ride (about 80 minutes) up to the highest point in Branson and had a great view of Table Rock lake. From there it was down to the bottom to splash into the lake. While we were on the water, he allowed kids of all ages to come and take the boat for a drive. He will take a picture of the kid in the drivers seat for you using your camera if you'd like. There was plent of time for all the kids to have a chance to steer and when the ride was over, they were all able to print out a "Captain's Award" which made for a nice souvenir. Much better than the LOUD wacky quacker that our dear captain suggested the kids learn to play at it's loudest setting.. lol. Anyhow, after the lake it was time to take a trip back to the ducks nest and move on to the gift shop. There was a really nice section with some war memorablia (which you also see some old war vehicles on the trip also). And then in the gift shop, everything you might want with a duck on it.. lol. They do have some cheap souvenirs also, such as pencils with duck toppers for .99.
Our Captain did tell us that some of the ducks are being redone and when we boarded, we had to walk up steps hooked on the back of the vehicle. When my mom rode them not to long ago, she boarded from the planks and stepped down into them. I'm not sure what they do for disabled people, so if you choose to do this, you might plan on giving them a call ahead of time to see what they say.
Tips:
- If you have long hair, bring something to pull it back in. It does get windblown like you've been riding with the windows down.
- Sit on the left side if you can. When he stops to take pictures, this is the side closest to the lake. You can still take pictures from the other side, but you'll have to stand up or you get other peoples heads.
- Go early morning. Less traffic to get caught in, it's not so hot, and the fumes aren't so bad.
- Sit in the very BACK of the duck. You won't have some crazy older lady blowing her quacker in your ear every time she passes a car and then laughing like a maniac. LOL :)
Only downside to the ducks...the 'if you're from Arkansas' jokes. I just don't get the reason behind them and they seem to be everywhere. But all in all, Ride The Ducks was such a fun memory to have of our Branson trip. It was so much fun.
Thanks for reading!

Wonderful Fun for Everyone

Have been to Branson for several years now, we FINALLY had a chance to Ride the Ducks! We certainly were NOT disappointed!
Our Captain, Bubba, was hilarious! This gentleman is VERY good at his job and knows how to entertain! The drive was beautiful, the weather perfect, and he keep us laughing the entire ride!
The hill they drive you to the top of to look out over the lake, is certainly beautiful and we found all the military vehicles along the way very interesting to learn about!
It was nice to hear and see about the dam and fish hatchery! We hope to check both out more closely the next time we are in town.
The ride through the lake was fun and it was nice to see the kids get involved and being allowed to drive the Duck!
It was a great ride and we would recommend it to all of our friends and family!
