Inspired by the IMAX® adventure “Ozarks Legacy & Legend,” McFarlain’s Family Restaurant is a Branson exclusive. This full-service restaurant, located inside Branson’s IMAX® Entertainment Complex, is famous for its legendary Ozarks cuisine, homemade pies, unique atmosphere and entertaining hospitality!
Come hungry... McFarlain’s features hearty, cooked-to-order breakfasts…possibly even Branson’s Best Country Breakfast, plus lunch and dinner entrees ranging from homemade soups, salads, sandwiches, and their own special slow-cooked pot roast…chicken, ribs, shrimp and steak. A popular lunch item, the “McFarlain’s Special” to be exact, is a heaping portion of that slow-cooked pot roast, atop good old white bread, topped with gravy and a side of luscious creamy mashed potatoes. It’s the epitome of comfort food and no one makes it better! Don’t forget about McFarlain’s Famous Honey Cornbread, Fried Green Tomatoes and a special kids menu, too.
Save room for dessert because McFarlain’s has Branson’s largest selection of daily, made-from-scratch cobblers, fruit and crème pies…including the one-of-a-kind Branson Traffic Jam Pie made with cherries, strawberries, rhubarb and cranberries. That particular combination might not sound like something you’re looking for, but you would just have to try it. It’s just the right combination of sweet and tart, and nothing like you’ve had anywhere else.I If you have ever visited Branson then you will know exactly where this famous pie gets its name from.
And let’s not forget about the atmosphere. In keeping with the early 1900’s theme featured in the Branson exclusive IMAX® adventure “Ozarks Legacy & Legend,” McFarlain’s Restaurant is decked out in hundreds of antiques, original works of art and photographs. A highlight among the coveted items are commissioned paintings by renowned artist Charles Sumey, featuring scenes from the film in different seasons and generations. Be sure to come see and taste it all inside Branson's IMAX Entertainment Complex at McFarlain's Family Restaurant.

Best Family Restaurant in Branson
Written by govols
Mcfarlands is by far the best restaurant value in Branson. We ate at lots of restaraunts and nothing else compares to the quality, service and value for such a touristy town. Anyone who was not satisfied with this restaurant needs to try it again or stop eating country cooking altogether. I wish we had one in Chattanooga!
Absolutely a great place!

We visited McFarlain's Restaurant after seeing a show. Just me and my granddaughter (11) - Absolutely a good choice to close the evening before going back to the hotel for a swim. I have traveled a lot, eaten at some very expensive restaurants from Hawaii to NY for business and special ocassions, but I love a family restaurant best of all. McFarlain's turned out to be one of my best choices ever made for my favorite kind of dining. I love to cook at home, but when I take a little get-away or vacation, I appreciate someone else doing the cooking for us, but am very picky about quality and service.. For several years I have been a personal tour guide - taking people to the best local flavors, shows, activities, etc. But, I always take a couple of days to go around and "check out the prospective places" for my clients. My rep is on the line, which means my business is also. We hardly had our tushes in the seat when our waitress was there smiling and ready for our drink order, had those in front of us before we could hardly blink, got our food to us lickity split, hot, fresh and very tasty! Chicken pot pie for me and lasagna for my girl. Both were sooooo good! Then upon leaving, the staff members that walked passed us all thanked us, etc. and the staff at check -out were so upbeat and friendly. I will be back with people and more people!!
Keep up the good work McFarlains --- you're hiring the right people!

Worst food and service. We live in Harrison, Ar. so we visit Branson weekly. Thought it would be fun to go the Imax watch a movie and go out to eat. Since Mcfarland's was right there, we would give it a try. Very pricey, the food and service was horrible. When the cashier checked us out ask how everything was, so we just told her the truth. The bewilderment on her face told it all so we just left. Just had the impression she just thought we were tourist and would'nt be back anyways. Well she was right!!! There to many places to eat in Branson that are excellant. I would never suggest eating at Mc Farlands.

This is a must that we always eat at McFarlains....great food, great service and selection.
Our waitress had only been there a week...very attentive.
The sweet potatos and fried green tomatos are what keep us coming back.:D YUM!!
From the chef salads, hamburgers to chicken pot pie...all was delicious. Just wished we had of saved room for pie...they looked very appealing.
The place was packed...but quick & hot food came right out.

We thought we would give this place a try since I have read so much about it on these boards. We used the 15% off coupon out of one of the coupon books. I had the fish and chips. It wasn't very good. I would have rather had Long John Silvers. My husband had the chicken pot pie and he said that it was really good. We need to go back and try this place again when we are more hungry. By the time we went here it was late in the week and we had just eaten way too much.
This was our favorite restaurant in Branson

Nice restaurant - good atmosphere. The staff was friendly and attentive. The food was very good. We stopped here for pie after a show there too and it was exceptional. Will definitely go back on our next trip to Branson.

Have been to McFarlains several times over the years and always enjoy it. Some servers are better than others but still enjoy it. They have the greatest cornbread.
