Magnificent 7 - Amanda Great
Written by lookin4fun
We went to the Magnificent 7 Show Thuirsday night. The new show is awesome! We have seen this show several time and the changes are great. There is more production and staging than before and many of the numbers have changed. All of the entertainers in the show were outstanding but Amanda just seems to shine on stage! She has grown into a very versitile entertainer who seems to have a way of connecting with the audience. Her new clown routine is marvelous! We also thought that Tamra was great!
We lost count on the number of costume changes in the show but there were many! The broadway section which included selections from Oklahoma, Cats, Grease, Funny Girl, An American in Paris and annie has a lot of very good production. Our only critic of the show was the patriotic ending. We just didn't care for the songs. That's why we gave the show a 9 instead of a 10.

On Tuesday night we saw the Magnificent 7 show. This was our first time to see it and it was GREAT!!!! We really enjoyed the entire show. It was a great variety from country to latin to famous groups to gospel to Broadway to swing and patriotic songs. We originally wanted to see the show because we heard that Clint Nievar aka the human q-tip was in it. Then we were looking at the message board before we went to see the show and we saw that Clint had left and gone to American Heartbeat. Then we were upset because we had thought he was great in Stuck on the 70’s and wanted to see him again. But we were sure that it would still be a great show we were just upset to not see Clint. When the show started we were really impressed with Amanda and the fact that she was only 17!!! She has a GREAT voice especially on “He’s Alive” and “Memory” from Cats. And she was really cute on “Put On a Happy Face.” Tamra and Joe also impressed us with their voices as well. We were surprised to find out that they were married though! Joe’s “Giddyup Pick Up Truck” song was very good. The piano player, Darrell Croy, was great especially on his piano segment with his impersonations of Jerry Lee Lewis, Billy Joel, Elton John, Ray Charles and Liberacci just to name a few. Even though we were upset about not being able to see Clint we were VERY excited to find that Matt Ranker from the Lost in the 50’s show last year was in it!!! We were very happy to find him because we didn’t know where he had gone. He seemed to really enjoy the show a lot and it looked like he had a lot of fun (he distracted us for most of the show!). We wanted to talk to him after the show but he left like right after it was over. Oh well, we’ll just have to make sure to go back to the show to catch him. We also recognized Mesa Tollefson from Lost in the 50’s and she didn’t really impress us in the 50’s show last year but she did much better in this show and she seemed to enjoy it as well. Overall the whole cast was very energetic and entertaining (and Jason Froeschle and Matt Ranker are very cute as well!) All of the different parts of the show were great and the way that they did Elvis was very creative and we had never seen it done like that before. Especially on “I Can’t Help Falling In Love With You” when all of the male cast members dressed up as Elvis (even the entire band!) We also enjoyed how they introduced the veterans by naming all of the individual branches of the service and asking the veterans to stand for which ones they served in. Our only complaint would be for them to feature the band and the cast members besides Amanda, Joe and Tamra more. We also ate the dinner before the show. Our waitress was very nice and the food was delicious especially the cake. We did not have any trouble with eating before the show. We will make a point to see this show again!

We went up to the beautiful White House Theatre to see Amanda and the Magnificent 7. The meal was delicious. We chose the steak, baked potato, steamed veg, salad and a loaf of home made dark bread with champagne cake for dessert. Service was good.
The White House is up on a high hill and the view daytime and night time is spectacular. You should drive up to the theatre some time, just to see the view of Branson in all directions.
Amanda and the rest of the cast of Magnificent 7 work hard to entertain. I now see why there's been all the fuss about Amanda. She is an exceptionally talented young lady. Her sweet nature and genuine friendliness shines forth during all her performances.
The talented Cast of Mag 7 are showcased in a very professional way. The Live Band was excellent. Everything about the Show from the lighting to the way the Sets were decorated was first class. This is a Show that we will go back to see again.

We got to see the Magnificent 7 show this past week. We had to see the human Q-tip, Clint Nievar from last years Stuck on the 70s, he was our drawing card there! The show was a little bit of everything, and it was all very, very good! It is definitely on our "repeat show list". It was our first time in that theater, it was very impressive.
Great show!

My extended family went to see this show last week and what a great time we had! We had 7 adults and 4 children, ages 3 to 10, and everyone found something to enjoy.
We had dinner prior to the show. It wasn't the best meal we've ever had... those with steak found the steak to be tough, and the chicken was fine, but a bit bland. The kids had chicken strips with either fries or mac-n-cheese. I ended up eating my son's chicken strips because they were yummy! For $5/each, really not a bad meal, however.
We really enjoyed the show. Amanda is excellent, a true entertainer. My husband loved the comedian that did the preshow. He's still talking about it! I would recommend this show... fun for everyone.

While on our anniversary trip this past weekend, we also saw, for the first time, the Magnificent 7 Dinner Show. It was really nice, although it wasn't quite the way I expected a "dinner show" to be. You are first seated for a candlelight dinner, while being entertained by a pianist, and a violinist. That fit right in with our "anniversary night"! Then, when you are finished with your meal, you are taken down and seated in the theater section. We had 7th row seats, in the center, and they were perfect.
If you want to see a "high energy" show, this is one that I would really recommend. There is so much talent in just this one show!! Joe and Tamara are wonderful singers, and Amanda is totally amazing. She is quite the performer. I was pleasantly surprised to see such all-round talent in such a young entertainer. Her voice is wonderful, she performed every type of music, and she can dance as well as any of the dancers that were out there. The entire cast was great, and especially Mike Bliss!!! I had seen Mike perform his comedy routine last year on the Showboat Branson Belle, and I laughed until I hurt. This time was no exception either, he is hilarious, BUT, I also found out that he sings wonderfully, AND is an excellent dancer. He was a very big part of the entire show. Also, for those wondering about Clint (aka-the "human q-tip"), from Stuck in the 70's, he is alive and well, and performing just as well with the Magnificent 7. He HAS cut his hair, however!
This was a great night of entertainment for us, we really enjoyed the dinner and the show. We will be seeing it again!

We just got home from four and a half days in Branson. Great trip. We saw the Magnificent 7 Show on Thursday night, and it was an excellent show. And, the dinner was quite good, too. I highly recommend both. It was the first time we had seen the show, and we were really impressed.
I would not hesitate to recommend this show to anyone who wants quality entertainment.
