Lonestar Steakhouse & Saloon

The history of Lone Star dates back to 1985 with the opening of Chisholm's Steakhouse in Charlotte, North Carolina. Chisholm's was conceived around the idea of being a casual, friendly steakhouse. The food was to be the best quality available for a reasonable price, with large generous portions. The name changed to Lone Star Steakhouse & Saloon ("Lone Star") in 1989 and in 1992 with eight restaurants, Lone Star Steakhouse & Saloon, Inc. became a public company. With a commitment to Texas Hospitality and rapid growth, the company enjoyed immediate success.

Lone Star restaurants embrace an authentic roadhouse theme and serve mesquite-grilled steaks, which are hand-cut fresh daily at each restaurant. Our menu includes "Texas-sized" portions of food, including a variety of combinations that are sure to please. With daily specials for lunch and dinner, a variety of appetizers and desserts and a full-service bar, Lone Star is a destination restaurant. Upbeat country and western music, Texas artifacts, and our excellent service standards enhance the Lone Star experience.

After a December, 2006 merger with Lone Star Funds, a Texas-based private equity firm, the Lone Star brand began a new and exciting era. While our commitment to quality and service is unwavering, we have created some new excitement with innovative focuses on franchising, marketing, remodeling, conversion of existing restaurants and ultimately the expansion of the Lone Star brand. We believe that our star is bright.

As part of our effort to become the “restaurant and employer of choice”, we are also directing our efforts to new employee incentive programs to improve our already competitive benefits.

Today, the company operates over 180 Lone Star restaurants, which are open seven days a week for lunch and dinner. Stop in and enjoy our Texas Hospitality!

Have eaten there several times and always satisfied. What is it with those great big sweet potatoes. They must be on steroids.
