REVIEW: Country Tonite
Written by fours
Everything about Country Tonite was a positive experience...well worth the money spent. Ticket lady was friendly, helpful and went out of her way to please. I was impressed!:) Three generations enjoyed this fast paced show. Glad to see Clay Cooper adding his talent to this show as well as holding down his own. Jason Yeager is highlighted in several solo's...according to my daughters...not enough..lol. The second half of the show the comedy skit had the crowd bursting with laughter. We'll for sure recommend this show and we are repeat show goers of Country Tonite...can't wait to go again.

Just returned from Branson and saw this show one night. It was very good, the singers were excellent. I wasn't real impressed with the comedian, Butter Bean but loved the rest of the show. I had seen this show in Pigeon Forge in June and the show in Branson is very comparable. I would definitely go back to see it again.

Country Tonite Review

On Monday night we saw Country Tonite. It was a lot different from last year especially being on a new stage. The stage fits the show a lot better now. The show wasn’t as good as last year though. They took out a lot of songs that made it famous especially “Thunder Rolls”. Only one of the dancers stayed from last year and the dancers weren’t out as much as they have been in the past. Without Johnny Lonestar it felt like there was something missing. Jackie Brown, Suzi Weber, Sonny Franks and Dakota Pagan all stayed from last year and a young man from Grand Prairie, Texas named Jason replaced Cole Currier. We are from close to Grand Prairie so we talked to him after the show and he was very nice. He told us that he had never even been to Branson before he moved here and one of his friends called him to come do Country Tonite so then he moved to Branson. We don’t believe that he was as good as Cole but he was still good. There was almost a completely new band except for the piano and drum players. Two of the new players were Josh Moore and Trent Wyman (sp?) who play the fiddle. They did a fiddle duet together that was very good. Trent was also very funny as the comedian of the show as well playing Butter Bean and Ida Mae Gump. There was even an appearance by Larry Delawder known as Barney Fife in the Lost in the 50’s show. That was a nice surprise. He played a song on his harmonica and did a little comedy bit with Sonny. There was not many songs from new country this year and most of them were from old country artists. It was still enjoyable but it was better last year.
