REVIEW: Acrobats of China featuring the New Shanghai Circus
Written by LadyDrifter
This was our first time to see this show. Wow. I never knew that a person could twist and bend into so many positions. It hurt ME just to watch some of the things they do. They are a talented group, and thank to missouribargains, very reasonably priced as well.
Be prepared to say WOW!

Probably the best show we saw on our recent trip to Branson was the Acrobats of China. Absolutely, positively I suggest that this show be on your list of must see shows.
Positives for of the show:
1. Price A family discount package was available at $69 – this covered two adults and three kids. A bit more expensive than Yakov and Darren Romeo but it was still worth the price of admission.
2. The Venue The new theatre is a good (not great) venue. The seats are reasonably comfortable but there is not an overabundance of leg room between rows. I think it is also worth noting that this theatre is located away from 76 Country Row and that is a big plus in my book. Access to this venue was very easy and there is ample parking. The theater was a little more than one half full for this show so I can’t tell you if larger crowds would stress the parking.
However, leaving the theater after the show took some time since most of the traffic flow will be attempting a left hand turn out of the theatre parking lot. The sound in this theatre was fine for what as demanded of it.
3. The show itself In a word, outstanding. The physical feats that these performers execute are simply amazing. The displays of physical strength by the females are more incredible than the males. What these girls do on bikes, roller skates and on chairs must be seen to be believed.
4. The run time This show also clocked in at around two hours of show time - definitely worth the price of admission.
5. The litmus test – attention of the six year old The only concern that I have is that my six year old will try some of this stuff with her bike! No problem in holding her attention here as the show was very captivating.
6. Small amount of hucksterism We did not experience a great deal of hawking of merchandise during this show and that was much appreciated.
Negatives about the show:
1. It's darn hard to think of any really worth noting. The previously mentioned lack of leg room and the time required to exit the parking lot are the only items I can think of.
All in all, we HIGHLY enjoyed this show and would strongly recommend it to anyone.
