The Duttons Serve Up Family Fun

Duttons Show in Branson, MO
Talented musicians
If I close my eyes, I can hear the opening notes of The Duttons show. Beginning with a brief acapella song, and the launching into talented fiddling, the show grabs you from the start.

This was our fourth visit to the Duttons in two years, and each visit has touched my heart and put music into my soul. What stood out to me on this trip, is that The Duttons truly seem to be trying to giving the audience more of what they want. New to the show this trip was another fun segment featuring the Dutton grandkids, some of whom are the same ages as my own children. This appeals everyone in the audience. I know my own children love to see other children performing and the many "aahs" in the theater tell me that other adults love it as much as I do.

In fact, I love all the changes to The Duttons' show this year. In particular, "The Devil Went Down to Georgia" manages to make me smile; always so fun to watch the interaction of the Dutton family when they are playing characters. I also love the new method of introducing the youngest of the Dutton grandchildren. We are huge Disney fans, and hearing their music paired with watching the antics of the grandkids is always delightful.

What remains the same during The Duttons' show is as entertaining as it was during our first visit. The Duttons are amazing musicians and each of them can play a host of instruments. Each of them stands out and by the end of the show, you feel that you've come to know them. You know that when Amy steps forward with her violin, or Joshua with his harmonica, you're going to hear wonderful music. When Ben walks (or leaps) onto the stage, you know that not only will you enjoy the music, you're going to smile. Timothy and Judith provide great harmonies, and Jonathan and Abigail always make me laugh during their Dueling Banjos segment.

After the show, my daughters went to have our souvenir DVD autographed by the family members. While I was waiting for them, I listened to some conversations between the family members and audience members. For many, it was their first visit and they decided to visit based on advertisements and price. When we first saw the show, it was based solely on a good price for families and good reviews at 1Branson.com. Now we go back because we love the show and we love the family. You can not beat the value of seeing The Duttons -- they offer excellent ticket prices combined with a wonderfully entertaining experience. And my guess is that once you've seen them, you'll be back. I know we will.
