A Blast to the Past! A Review of '57 Heaven and The Original Stars at American Bandstand

Do you remember going to the drive-in movies on Saturday night? Do you remember when everyone gathered in the living room to watch "Leave It to Beaver?" If you answered "yes" to any of these questions then you need to head on down to Dick Clark's American Bandstand Theater Complex. The American Bandstand Theater Complex is one of Branson, Missouri's latest additions to the 76 strip. With it being brand new I wanted to check it all out. The building consists of three levels. The first floor contains the '57 Heaven Autos & Lifestyle Exhibit, the second floor houses Dick Clark's American Bandstand Theater, and finally Dick Clark's American Bandstand Grill makes up the third floor. If you are left breathless just by reading this you will be relieved to know that there is in fact elevators to take you everywhere you want to go. J With time being an issue I was not able to venture up to the restaurant level but did meander about the second and third floors.

The complex itself is enormous in size with plenty of space to go off in a corner and reminisce about the good old days. You don't have to worry about feeling claustrophobic here! I began my tour by browsing around the gift shop to see what types of unique items were available. I am always on the lookout for items that make shopping in each theater's gift shop a unique experience. The gift shop included many 50's themed items including those fuzzy dice that once hung from your rearview mirror.
